Since its beginnings nearly a century and a half ago, the YMCA of Metropolitan Washington has provided quality, affordable childcare. Today, YMCA's well known and well respected child care programs include before- and after-school sessions, full-day care, and specialized youth development programs such as the Saturday Fun Club and the culturally diverse Three
O'clock Club.
Each program is staffed by friendly, certified child care professionals, and provides a place where children of all ages can learn to live and work together while growing into individuals with a strong sense of security and independence. Care is taken to help children with every aspect of learning, from encouraging early motor and mental skills to offering homework assistance, computer lessons and more. And each program offers plenty of swimming, sports, games and art classes, to keep the mind and body in tune.
The YMCA is also dedicated to helping everyone, no matter where or when they need assistance. At the YMCA Children's Program Center, near Resnik Elementary School in Maryland, more than 100 special needs children attend full- and part-time day care. Working together with the neighboring special needs school, the YMCA Center offers outstanding, reliable day care for these special children.
